I absolutely love the look of those leather seats Martin, not seen them before, or in the flesh... Are they what are known as Premium... I need to make my mind up pdq whether to stick with a Heritage or go standard and have the luxury of some options like that (as well as standard ones like A/C and a Radio... ) Rog... The GREEN One... They look very nice indeed. Did you purchase s seat with frame or recover your existing seats? |

Go for the XS, & option it the way you like.
You'll then have a "hamburger with the lot",...it'll be "top of the range" with options & accessories to your particular spec,..it really will be "YOURS",...can't beat that. Pickles. |

You just keep nagging me into it Martin...
Time is running out... There is nothing to say the Heritage cannot be 'Mine' and just how I want it... Eventually, and probably great expense... But then it would remove the originality of the Heritage and somewhat defeat the object... Rog... The GREEN One... So Rog, where are you up to with all this?
A Heritage 90 stock, or an XS the way you want it? Best regards, Martin. |

LRI Solutions do an advance replacement service - basically they send you a full set of seats ready to bolt in, and you remove your old ones and they pick them up http://www.lrisolutions.co.uk/index.php/de...erior.html You'll need to call them to agree a net price after trade-in... Nearly a year since I got my 90 xs ht wouldn't want to be without heated screen, heated seats, electric windows. Front carpets I like. Aircon I rarely use, Bluetooth on radio I find erratic and have stopped bothering with it. Like having side running bars, rather have wolf's than boosts. Rest is just nice to have.

I suppose another question to ask yourself is what you will add (if anything) after purchase. I.e will you upgrade the wheels, add side steps etc. Mine is second hand county (albeit the previous owner added AC, leccy windows, carpet etc) but I wanted cloth interior and sh*t steel wheels because I would be upgrading seats, alloys, body kit, window tint etc. I.e. It was a blank canvas. So maybe it's not just about County v SVX but also where you see it going in the next few weeks/months/years and whether a County will be a better base model for your mods or the more expensive factory upgraded model? That's what I'm pondering. Wheels for instance. I'm currently on my second car with BFG MTs and I think they are the greatest tyre ever. So I can't decide if I should get the standard wheels and buy a set of BFGs or go with the MT upgrade available. Snorkel is a must but the LR snorkel is over 300! Side steps and bits will be coming off and be replaced with tree sliders. The half-leather seats don't appeal to me a whole lot. I'd either want the fabric seats or maybe the premium ones. I'm very happy with my current Sony after market head unit in my current Defender. It integrates perfectly with my iPhone so I wouldn't mind continue using that. Apart from that I wouldn't be looking for any immediate upgrades. I'm just not entirely sure what the exact differences are between the CSW and the XS. My local dealer is not knowledgeable at all when it comes to the Defender and they don't seem to interested in selling one. I have been in asking questions and been promised call backs but nothing... No other dealers anywhere close so I have to do the leg work myself here.... |

Dan, Sounds to me like you should go County (with AC, Heated windscreen and perhaps TC) and then upgrade with AM parts which I think we all agree are often better/nicer/cheaper than LR OE parts..... Monsieur Le Grenadier

I would of thought that a County with A/C, Heated Screen and TC will cost about as much as an XS.
Also, a County with those upgrades would still not be as appealing 2nd hand as an XS. Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Looking at this one
http://www.landrover.com/content/gb/en/pdf...12_GWS.pdf And adding up the options (I care about) the XS is actually cheaper. It's an outdated price list but I imagine everything is pretty much the same % more expensive. |

Suggestion - Read through the options list and delete all the items that are problematic (i.e. will fail just outside the warranty period or have known reliability problems).
Read through the options list and delete all the items that are grossly over-priced and that easily available from other suppliers who offer increased technical performance/specification for a lot less money. That's why I bought a basic model and then added the bits I really wanted from various sources - not a factory-pack with all sorts of features I have no need or want for. |
