Sorry not recent but i thought worthy of note - it's the second or maybe third time I've seen a Land Rover end up perched on an open door like this.
I wonder how comon it is? http://www.autoevolution.com/news/porsche-...4311.html# Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

There's no ncap at all on defender. In the event of a crash get in the back and lie down.

.......and then it dawns on me... ....the Defender stayed on the tarmac..... .... and the 911, and its engine......ended up in the field 1998 Tdi 90 SW, 2008 Td4 90 SW, 2012 2.2 90 SW, 2" raised Trailmaster/Terrafirma Heavy Track Raids, 255 MTīs, Recaro CSīs, anorak, wellingtons |

The saftey aspects of driving a Defender my main issue. That old solid frame chasis with virtually none existent demolition zones and the lack of most of the crash saftey technologies from the last decades doesn't really make it a veichle you want to transport your family with. At the same time I want one badly but I guess it will remain a dream

Don't let this put you off.
The driver was totally unhurt and didn't even spill his coffee. |

No one should take the decision away from you how you look after your family, and road traffic is more dangerous than ever. The number of cars, and number of electronic gadgets that distract the driver, are major factors. Two further reasons to drive a Defender. 1998 Tdi 90 SW, 2008 Td4 90 SW, 2012 2.2 90 SW, 2" raised Trailmaster/Terrafirma Heavy Track Raids, 255 MTīs, Recaro CSīs, anorak, wellingtons |
