Pretty good, depending on the load in your truck and mileage. With a roofrack on, my avg consumption is hovering around 10.5-11l/100km, but it only has 10000km on the clock. Once can expect things to loosen up and consumption to go down marginally in the long run. I also add 2-stroke oil with every 2nd tank, which helps lubricate stuffs and I change the oil every 10Kkm. |
i just refilled my 110 tdci and the light cam on at 642km, and it cost 114chf's to refill, what do you get on a tank to the bing/yellow refill light?
I think this works out as ... 114chf divided by 1.70chf/litre = 67 litres 9.58 litres per 100/km.... is that good or bad ???
Did you use a swiss calculator for that? I calculeted roughly 10.5 litres per 100km -- that turns out to be the average consumption for a 110. |

Hornet... not sure what you mean.
I travelled 642km = distance I added 67 litres (which cost 114chf) = volume to calculate the consumption, divide the distance by the volume... 642 divided by 67 = 9.58 What's special about a Swiss calculator |

You have it wrong, it's 67 (volume) divided by 6.42 (distance) = 10.4361370717 l/100km |

Since April of this year I have covered just over 5000 miles in my 90 and refuelled 17 times! My severest economy was 26.73 MPG and my best 31.65 MPG. No map on for a significant time of that but back on now and of late been getting about 28 MPG on average last four fills!
Got no reason to complain me! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

I think a lot of it is down to the extra weight of the 110 and the roof rack must take 2 miles off the gallon.
If I could avarage more or even the same as all my other Defenders I would be happier but I suppose it is all part of owning a land rover. |

I've got a 110 xs, new end of March, done nearly 10k miles. I've averaged 28.5 over that distance my best being 31 mpg. Normally don't run with roof bars etc. On holiday at mo with bars and a roof box and mpg gone down to about 26... I constantly travel between London and Gibraltar loaded up through Spain and end up averaging 32-34 mpg. But then my truck is a 90!!
