I'm flying to Spain tomorrow snd coming back late Thursday. Aslong as it doesn't interrupt those plans I don't mind. We ventured to Buxton a few days ago. A lovely 4-6inches in place. Great time with the sledge.

For the last couple of months, a yellow warning of snow usually means light rain is on the way............ Rolling Eyes

They've been over-forecasting so much that I'm thinking cry wolf this time. Craig Rogers

I have the theory that if they say the weather will be bad, and it's not quite as bad as they forecast, then everyone is happy.

True, but in real life it doesn't work like that.

People organise their days around the weather forecast and if a working day make changes to their work plans then it costs money. Self-employed are really affected.

Councils, may take precautions that cost and are not needed. For example, my local council heavily gritted the roads last week only to be washed away by the warm rain....... Forecast was to have -5 and 6 inches of snow. It was 4 deg and drizzle all day. Yes, the weather forecast can be wrong, but it seems to be wrong purposely lately

If it continues, people will ignore the warnings and then we'll get serious weather.

DISCLAIMER: I'm just bitter as I woke up the other morning expecting loads of snow, and it was just rubbish drizzle. Craig Rogers
