Windscreen wash not working, fuse blown
Hi all,
I had an issue with my wipers and wash on my 2012 puma stopping working a few days ago. It was really icy when I got in the car and I guess I didn't leave it long enough for the windscreen ice to clear and tried to use the wipers early and maybe over current burnt the fuse..I checked the fuse and it turns out it was burnt so I swapped it with a new fuse 30a as that's all I had handy and everything was hunky dory until today when I came back from work

I was using wipers and wash without an issue until I got a few miles from home and then the wash stopped working but the wipers are fine. I checked fluid level and it's near full, sounds like the pump is working when I press the button but no wash comes out..I don't think nozzles can be blocked as I was using the wash for a while on the way back. Any ideas. Mucho gracias in advance

The nozzle could have frozen if it was very cold. The wind chill will affect them to.
I would get some hot water and pour it over the nozzle. Thumbs Up

Have you got a decent screen wash additive in to prevent freezing ? 2005 Td5 90 XS

Was just thinking if your pump froze solid and you tried to use the washers then it would pop the fuse.

According to Aunty BBC you've had record cold weather up there ! 2005 Td5 90 XS

I think washers and wipers are on same fuse, so if wipers are working it's not the fuse.

But remember after a bit of a drive you will have the wind chill effecting the nozzle.

We'll left it alone overnight and tried this morning and working fine so I guess they froze up..I didn't think wind chill could do that in Scotland lol. Guess I will just have to carry a bit of water in the car or de-icer.

It is strange the fuse blows though on the wipers as the manual states it has some wiper cutout if they become jammed.
