Is it a tdci? Or td5,300tdi?
Just asking as all the parts for tdci amount to around £150 so make sure you have been quoted for correct parts. But if it's td5 might just be input shaft? Tdci have a different problem/set up, intermediate coupling shaft which fails! 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

its a 2010 2.4 tdci i think...found part numbers and found bits on ebay...im not paying for parts or labour just the transport. Looked at job and if it wasnt under warrantee would do it me self....its all kinda guesswork till they pull it apart, there did seem to be a small amount of rust at the bottom of the tunnell between gear box and transfer box. there was a small hole kinda semi circle (drain hole ? ) and rust seemed to be coming from there...Maybe thats cause landrover dont greace them..

Don't recall any holes in that section of the box, but sounds like someone's been there before!
Maybe trying to spray some lube inside? Only way to lube it is to pull it apart, maybe water has entered the hole and rusted the splined shaft? Would be interesting to see it once it's out! 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

That was the one I done a few weeks ago, just so you know what sort of job it is, Grease nipples are the way to go!! 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

The high/low lever hasn't dropped into neutral has it? Sorry if it's a daft question.
