Guessing the code could be for the electric vaccum control valve that controls vacuum to the wastegate diaphragm, what it means sorry not a clue !

I thought the diaphragm was just controlled by a pipe from the induction pipe just before the inter cooler ?

Think they are disco only.

AFAIK td5 disco's wastegates are ECU controlled but Defenders are not. Roel

Discoveries are ECu controlled, defenders are mechanical, so there's no "error" code that can occur from them. |

Is it possible that the error code is generated because of over or under boost pressure in manifold then ?
Maybe the pressure sensor in inlet manifold faulty ? |

Can you clear the fault and see if it comes back? That's what I do with my D3. If it comes back quickly I will look further otherwise it's just one off the things.
I think over boost will have it's own faultcode, under boost I don't know. The td5 will go to limp mode if to high manifold pressure is measured. If it is over boost, it will log as "turbo charger over boost"
From what it seems, there might be a wiring issue. Clear the faults first and then see if it comes up again. From the land of the most expensive land rover defenders on planet earth. Cleared the fault 2 days ago and hasn't come back.
Still a bit puzzled how I had the blue smoke then just clear. Hasn't reappeared either. Beginning to think it's something with the injector loom. |

Then you probably not have a injector oil loom problem. Roel
