fitting a spare with RR offset ?
I have a 16" boost as a spare,
but if I wanted to fit a spare that is 20" off a range rover,
what are my options please,
thanks

Vague post....what wheels do you have fitted would be the obvious question? If they are 16" boosts I would delete this post to save embarrassment perhaps? The rolling radius of the spare must be as close to the wheel it is replacing, offset is not as important as long as it doesn't foul as a get you home only option..

Sorry no embarrassment here,
im running 20" evoque ( style 6 I think ) original alloys,
with hub converters with hunter 4wheel alignment.
I still have a 16" boost as a 5th spare on the back ,
I have bought a single 20" for a spare but will it fit onto the oe spare wheel carrier ,with being different offset !!!
so if it wont fit as I said any ideas on something that will fit the rr alloy.
cheers

Rear spare wheel carriers are not expensive, and come up for sale on here from time to time. Consider buying a carrier and getting the bolts adjusted to match the rre spare

Can't be much more than an hours measuring and welding

You could fit a carrier off a td5 discovery, wheel will bolt straight in without adapters Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I am a little confused myself, we are talking stud pattern, offset or both? I would suggest if both remove the studs off your original standard carrier have a reinforcing plate welded onto the face and then perhaps drill and refit the studs exactly where you need them.

Offset can often be adjusted by the adjustment spacer fitted to the original carrier studs to move it away from your wiper arm if required.

**Edit** Grafty's idea is better than mine. A lot less labour intensive..... Thumbs Up Bow down If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Hi

Im running on Discovery 2 18" alloys on my defender (soon to be removed as i hate the hub adaptors!)

I recently fitted a spare wheel carrier, it had an adaptor fitted on the spare too, so it would fit, but then i had issues in the length of the wheel carrier bolts, all in all it was a bit of a headache having to shorten the studs on the new carrier which i was not too happy about doing!

I am doing away with them soon as if you need to do any work to hubs etc you have to remove adaptors too,
bit like taking 2 wheels off all the time.......simply cant be doing with it Evil or Very Mad

Still going with 18s but with Defender stud pattern! 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered.
