Top gear have driven through the middle east which is an active war zone without incident yet they go to one bit of a country that lost a war 30 odd years ago and all hell breaks loose and said country then wants to make some political milage from their own citizens perpetrating an act of hate against visitors by claiming that the presence of said visitors is in and of itself an act of provocation. We should have bombed them back to the stone age when we first had chance. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Trouble is, Argentina is in a slump with the general populous being more despondant than usual. If they start sabre rattling against the English it gives the general populous something else to focus on and ignites national pride. An easy way of gaining popularity for the politicos.
They have no legal claim to the FI, a referendum was an overwhelming statement teling the Argies to do one. 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |

If you look a bit closer, the Hi-Lux was just the first through the river crossing and all the vehicles were strapped to each other so if one went floating off the others would keep it tethered.

+1, the only problem with that is if the Toyota floated the rest would have been knackered

Dakar Rally Truck looked a big old bit of kit they obviously hire to go along with them, was amazed at the amount of crew. Felt a bit sorry for whichever person in there crew had to drive the porsche the last bit before they they left them though!
Only interesting bit of the show other than the lotus Defender puma dormobile camper |

Just to add to my post, I'm on another forum and this is their take on the issues between the UK, Argentina and the Falklands. The moon faced howler they refer to is Kirchner.
There are many reasons why, coming into 2015, the UK and the Falklands have nothing to fear from Argentina: 99% of Argentineans don't actually give a about the Falklands issue, seeing it for what it is, bluster. Their military is crap, and their navy is quietly rusting away at its moorings, literally. They can't really afford to run a country, let alone win a war. She is a batface crazy moon howler who probably won't be re-elected. The rest of South America, save their socialist brethren in Venezuela, hate them. Whilst Argentinean keep speaking Spanish and looking suspiciously white and European, we probably won't take their claims about our colonisation of an empty set of bleak islands very seriously. 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |
