Bonnet springs open
My bonnets started to spring open driving heavy corrugated roads in the Kgalagadi. It closes fine and the safety does catch the bonnet so it doesn't open completely. Is there some sort of cable adjustment needed? Or are things not lined up correctly?

I would clean it up and grease both the catch, and the bonnet pin,

Had this happen on a td5 at work, just lack of lube was fine afterwards! Smile

Also check alignment of bonnet pin and catch by removing the grille and checking.
Check cable for any slack and adjust as required.

Need to do this with ours. Was looking at it the other day and thought it all looked a bit dry.

when i went to look at it, i noticed how badly the bonnet opened and shut!
