What the ... price for gearshift yoke
Truck is in with local mechanic for replacing clutch, greasing splines on the extension shaft.
Since day 1 there was a problem getting reverse. Because the box is out, asked mechanic to check linkage.
According to him the gearshift yoke is slightly distorted so not centred on the shaft (about 5° of center)
Solution, bring to machine shop and see if they can straighten it, or install new one. Item 34.
Checked price of new one on line (LR023926), and had to sit down ... price ranges from £530 - £600
Oddly enough, part 31 (LR023718) which consists of LR023925 (£145) , LR023924 (£370), LR023926 and the bolts needed (£0.35/piece) is about £275
Something not right here ... anybody know the real price of the part?
Anybody know what is going on here? The price seems a tad outrageous for this part

Just got a nice email back from supplier, the £500+ price is the the price from Land Rover ... go figure.
Now hoping the machine shop can straighten it. Otherwise will order the repair kit and sell the excess parts on ebay ... might even make a profit ...
Obvious a typo that nobody bothers to correct. Makes me wonder how many more of these errors are around
