Speaker Indicators HELP!!!
Hi Guy's some urgent assistance if possible please!!!... I've got some 72.5mm speaker led indicators/sidelights/brake lights fitted to my 110... They are the new style plastic plinth type... I have had the original alloy plinth type replaced by Gary (Alive/Tim Mobile centre due to corrosion...)
Anyway, I've now got water ingression issues... I've just arrived in Gairloch (NW Scotland) and have all my lights full of condensation/water and one rear brake/tail not working and the other only intermittently (thank you mr plod for informing me that none of my rear tail lights where working.. He did laugh when I banged one of the lights and they started working again!!)....
Anyway... Any suggestions on the best way to dry them out/seal them would be most welcome!!!

Cheers Tim It doesn't matter how bad it is, It can always get worse...

Whip 'em off dry them on the radiator overnight and then get some decent sealer and seal them up. Replace with units that are at least IP 67 rated. JW Speakers are supposed to be synonamous with quality and rated to IP 67 anyway? Had a similar experience with headlights. Speak to Tim I am sure you will get a satisfactory resolution. Use a sealant that can be removed to get you home. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Cheers k9f, Lights now sat on the radiator... However, Any one local to Gairloch got a spare set of brake / tail lights I could borrow if these don't dry out?... I now have no rear lights at all and I'm not holding out much hope of these springing back into life any time soon.

Cheers

Brian. Thumbs Up

Tim,

I do like your signature.......deperate times etc.....Could you not get your mate to do a round trip to Inverness to try and get his heater working and go with him? Wrap up warm and you may kill two birds with one stone perhaps? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

It may yet come to that.... Let's see if they spring back into life... Where in Bournemouth are you as I work for Crescent Racing WSBK Team and if you interested I can give you a guided tour of the bikes...

Cheers

I am not a million miles away from Crescents Shop in Charminster (who are Yamaha dealers now are they not?).... About 5 minutes away near the Broadway Pub. Thumbs Up
