rule say: is oil going thru the valves, but before you take any action I suggest you check the oil level until the next service. Puma 110" SW

This blue smoke seems to be only on start up. Sounds like it has a miss fire. Think I might video it to show the dealer. Guess turbo would be an easy swap.

Yes I have even tried putting glow plugs on twice doesnt have any affect on amount of smoke. I am also in the habit of waiting for glow plugs as I have only owned diesel landrovers.
I take this isnt a common problem then! |

I would have it in observation for a while to check if the oil level drops. Also check you have the right oil dipstick.
if you are keen on dismantling you could look if there is oil at the intake air hose after the turbo or intercooler. Puma 110" SW ............................................................. Earth first. Other planets later |

How do RobKeay. Mine was doing exactly what yours is doing. Lots of smoke on start up and then shaking about, missfiring. When it warmed up it was fine. It turned out it was a software update that had not installed correctly. . It didn't make any sense to me but it has been fine{touch wood} ever since.
