I have 240's inside the A bar. They do just fit.
You do need to cut out the grill behind to sit them back flush with the front of the A bar. I reckon they look pretty neat. ![]() If you don't cut the grill, they will stick out forward of the A bar. Mine has the Aircon fitted, so may have less room than a non aircon vehicle. Its easy to cut the grill, I just attacked it with a large pair of cutters! ![]() Click image to enlarge 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy |

I think you'll be hard pushed to fit them flush with a winch. Take the centre portion of the grille out first and offer them up. If they don't fit alternatively you could possibly get some brackets made to 'pick up' on the top mounting holes of the a-bar brackets themselves which would offer you more room and not have to commit to cutting perhaps? The brackets unlike mine which return back on themselves could be simply a flat plate to keep the lights raised clear of the winch, I did something similar with my 240s. Ask Gareth to measure the distances between the lowest point of the light and the bumper and the depth of the light to the grille perhaps to get a better idea. It'll be damn tight I reckon. I'll do just that tomorrow, and take some more pictures, I reckon you are right though, a winch will make it a squeeze. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Gareth,
I seriously doubt they will fit with a flush fit scenario. Mine are f*in HUGE and I didn't wish to cut my KBX Premium Grille. The measurements would give a 'snaphot' if the concept would work with a winch. ![]() ![]() Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Measurements.
From the bottom edge of my spotlight to the top face of standard bumper = 14cm From top edge of spotlight to bottom face of A bar = 3cm Protrusion into grill (through home made cut-out) = 5cm. This makes them sit flush with front face of A bar. You could extend the distance between bottom of lamp and bumper by making some custom brackets. Max possible would be 17cm. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy |

^^^Buy an A-Bar or a lightbar or buy some lamps that can be mounted to the bumper.

It turns out that I didn't need to go flush, since the winch protrudes another four inches past the front of the brush bar. Here's an image. ![]() Click image to enlarge |

As per MK said,
During summers and under loading, the ligths there will restrict the airflow to the radiator producing a undesirable engine overheating. Cheers Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" ![]() Click image to enlarge |
