Probably.....several providers will get the manufacturers to 'brand' items with their own name etc. this will naturally come at a premium hike. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

I am pretty sure they are not the same intercooler. Think they used to be but I am sure Twisted have their own now. Both will be good, I have heard good reviews about the alisport but know quite a few people with the Twisted upgrades who like them!

maybe 3%...not a big bang for the buck. I have one, its nice to know its in there, but not sure I would go there agin. About the same as an exhaust imo. I guess it all adds up, and what you want from a Defender. But the wallet also reflects that bang for your buck.
The Alisport is made beautifully, shipped well, and fitted well. In fairness perhaps the unforeseen benefit is a happier motor getting the best available cooled air it can in the current situation. So perhaps longer lived. My Defender and travels |

An intercooler on its own wont do much, but when combined with a proper map makes a huge difference... Have a look last page here http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic15909-105.html |

Twisted have always had their own Intercoolers, made locally to them and to a very high quality.
We are distributors for the awesome Ultimate Intercooler, which is also a "Fit and Forget" item. It does make a notable difference when fitted to an otherwise standard Defender, especially so the 2.2 model. Regards, Gary. |

And having replaced a totally stuffed allisport intercooler (lasted no time at all totally corroded out in well under 10k miles ) with one of Garys, not only can I say his customer service is brill the product is far superior as well. Top marks

I have one of Alives's Cast tank intercoolers. I fitted too my 2.4 Puma witch already had been remapped, decat and centre box removal. The difference after fitting the intercooler was very obvious, with an airbox bafflectomy. When I later added the stage two remap when driving I found myself looking for extra gears. At cruise I have gained about 1.5 litre per 100Km, with much improved flexibility. It is standing up well too the heat 50C plus and the corregations.

I added the cooler before the map and drove it for a month. This is why I say it had very little bang. Added the map and got huge bang for the same amenity of money. Did the same with an exhaust, added it first, then the map, except the exhaust was 1/3 more than the map. Just my experience. My Defender and travels
