Very perceptive Supacat. I did indeed run wider but had some issues with breaking (uprated) CV joints and trashing swivel pin bearings. Never off-roaded but used for towing and the occasional slipway.
When I bought the truck it looked like this. Click image to enlarge I'm half-way through the process of face-lifting it and have removed the 30mm spacers and will be swapping out the existing 1" lowering springs very soon. The Twisted alloys that were on the truck also had a substantial offset so all-in-all the geometry was all over the place (in my opinion). The springs will be sorted in the next week, or so, and then I'll do something about the spats! Don't have figures for the weight of the Bowler rims but I was amazed how light they were when I collected them from the factory (boxed) and would guess they're approx 30% lighter than the alloys which were on the truck. |

Here's a picture of the Stage One I used to own. It has Grey Modulars (really, it does...) with 255/85/16 BFG MT's.

This is a great thread, does anyone have any more pictures of wolf rims on a 90? I fancy getting some white ones for my marine blue 300.
Thanks |

Hi Bows
I have just bought 4 new white wolf rims and fitted michelin xzl mud tyres, I will post pics tomorrow morning. The rims are supposedly copies , not genuine but they are still bloody thick metal and heavy. To be honest I am not bothered about having the same weight rating as genuine ones (2250kg per wheel WTF !) They were £33+vat each from 4x4tyresonline. 2003 Td5 90 2013 sport hse 2012 700 raptor quad 2012 siromer 4x4 tractor |
