So it seems I've been neglecting this thread. Apologies to all those interested.
So... Current status... Taxed, MOT'd and insured! First trip was to Carfest at Oulton Park, massive success! Lots left to tidy and sort but from now on its a work in progress rather than an ongoing project, very happy! Harry
Did you make the sill protectors or purchase them Camper looks great. Will you fill the gap on the build? Or at least more photos of what you put inside and how? Cheers Tim Series II in pieces 1984 Defender 110 (3.5l V8 now 300TDI) |

Is that a gas line that touches your (hot) exhaust? |

Gas line was only put into place once we'd been parked up for a while and the exhaust was cold! I'll get some more photos soon and try to update the build thread soon. 1990 Defender 110 200TDI Camper - now converted to Td5 power

There is enough room behind the rear inside wheel to mount a medium size gas cylinder on a 110 - my dormobile conversion has it mounted there on a little shelf held in place with a strap, the gas feeds though the rear wheel arch by the back door and (in my case) goes to the cooker that is mounted there.
we have an on/off switch on the line in the vehicle and an on/off on the regulator outside. you don't have to remove the wheel to change it either !! simples! Did you use a genuine stage one grill or did you fabricate it your self? Like the look of that!

It's a grill that I made, still needs a bit if tidying up but it's basically a sheet of 2mm stainless mesh with 25mm holes cut to size. The edge is a white flexible plastic edging strip. All off eBay, total cost about 40 quid, you can buy remanufactured stage 1 grills for about 100 so I was happy with the overall result! 1990 Defender 110 200TDI Camper - now converted to Td5 power
