Looking at the other threads on here you could fit a 285 on a boost alloy at a push, but shouldn't really go over a 265 as the boosts are only 16x7" and the 285 would really go on a 16x8" wheel.

Hi Pom, I've been running 285/75 on my 110 without any issues. Plenty of miles on them and lots of off road and no issues at all.
You will need to use spacers though if you go that big or they will rub, spend wisely on spacers as the are some poor quality ones out there. I'm on 30mil Puma 2.2 90 Stationwagon |

Depends on the backspace or offset. The latter at 0 is the best for those wheels and tires. In this way you do not touch rear springs when twisting axles Puma 110" SW ............................................................. Earth first. Other planets later |

I fitted them without spacers on 16x8J Modulars, which have an extra 20mm offset over Land Rover wheels. Front was fine and I still retained full steering lock (compared to 235/85 on Boosts) due to the offset At the back they just touch the corners of the "eyebrows" but would clout something on the inside on full articulation, never did work out what? so couldn't have been too crucial, Springs maybe? I'm now running 255/85 Cooper STs on 16x7J Modulars - slightly larger diameter than 285/75 but obviously skinnier, still just brush the eyebrows on the back (but they bend so no problem) but no other clearance issues, confirmed this at Frickley Off Road recently MAD COW 2007 90 Hard Top - 2009 BMW F800GS - 2002 CCM 604E Dual Sport Project90 |
