not the best solution , but brought the wife for her car the waeco heated seat cover ,just sits on top of seat , main thing it does is keep her quiet about mine having heated seats and hers not having them
I would like one or both heated seats for rear of defender ,need to decide on fitted or seat cover ( only thing with cover would be I could take out and use it in van when not in use in the defender ) anyone know how easy it is to fit the elements in to rear folding seats , not worried about wiring side just seat side of things ? |

I think he does, can't be too difficult.
I'm not so worried about wiring either but the quality and fitting I am. Afaik Waeco is OEM branded, but what are the cost of genuine. £800 a pair probably. |

I have purchased some genuine seats that had the heaters fitted already.
I have also extracted the wiring from another loom so I can do plug and play . So much easier in the future. |

Waeco are most definately aftermarket. Waeco are a German company, their heated seat kits are made in China (at least, the MSH60 kit that I recently bought for Mrs Mc's Hyundai is) No complaints - they're not bad for the money - http://en.waeco.com/products/4381_651.php Waeco heated seat kits are the ones supplied by Exmoor Trim as their heated seat kit - http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/store/defender...etail.html Exmoor Trim also supply the OEM/Genuine heated seat pads - http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/store/defender...etail.html But these will require the factory wiring, or FCX's wiring kit. . Do LR sell genuine though? Perhaps only prefitted in seats.

AFAIK, Land Rover themselves don't sell replacement heated seat pads for the Defender.
You have to buy complete heated seat bases or backs. . Paul. 1989 Arles Blue 2.5TD 110 Hardtop 1999 Epsom Green Discovery II 4.0 V8i 'XS' |

That sounds correct to me.
So the Waeco kits have good reviews from owner. |

Exmoor trim OEM pads are easy to fit and work well with cable from FCX. Total cost around £250 for both seats

I fitted the waeco60 heated kit and to be honest they seem a great bit of kit, the seats get very warm, my favourite extra I fitted to my truck I found a kit on eBay for £50 foundry 4x4 good value.

I think he would be offended if I called him that!
He's a mechanic, covered in oil most of the time! |
