Main beam issue
Hi chaps, new problem. All my lights work fine, dipped beam etc. However the main beam 'flash' doesn't work, but the main beam works fine when it's 'locked on' with the normal dipped headlights on. (Hope that made sense!!) Any ideas? had a brief check of fuses etc all is fine, is it likely to be the switch?

is wiring standard or been relayed ?

if standard
wont be a fuse as same fuse for main and flash , its more than likely in the switch ( indicator switch not main switch )

There is a replacement harness that makes your lights 'brighter' that comes with a switch. Pinched from yet another thread! Sorry it's in Dutch there may be a provider in the UK.

Good luck! Thumbs Up

My mistake. Embarassed Agree! Thumbs Up

Could always drop 'Ze' a pm and see what his issue was perhaps as he suffered the same affliction?

Cheers, was wondering if it was a common fault for the indicator stalk/flash etc to play up. It's MOT time next week and I'm finding more and more things wrong, could be a busy weekend!

I recently had a similar problem with the flash not working, main beam was ok though. All it took was a gentle tweak of the sprung contact in the switch and job done. Works perfectly now.

Might be worth giving it a go if only as part of the process of elimination Thumbs Up 2015 90 XS CSW TDCi - Beautiful
