Mine 178k, new AMC head 4 years ago. All bolts torqued in correct order and to correct tightness 1999 Defender TD5 110

England 2000 Defender 110 Td5 HT Chawton White
Have you made sure you have the correct gasket, as there are two sizes for the half moon, if I remember correctly early TD5's half moon was slightly smaller than that of a later model.

You might have done them correctly but the previous person may not have though. I see so many done up until they're squashed and damaged.

As far as I know and can tell, the gasket is the correct one for the early model - well its what I have ordered anyway. 1999 Defender TD5 110
