Window blanks/covers

Good evening all,

I've done a search but can't find what I'm looking for. I'm trying to find out if anyone makes window blanks/covers that can be fitted inside the rear and side windows of a Station Wagon (I guess it doesn't matter whether 90 or 110) in order to keep prying eyes out. I've currently made some from silver-backed bubble wrap but it looks a little DIY although similar in appearance to the window blankets motorhomes fit inside their windscreens (see pic).

Obviously I could go down the tinting route but would like a removable option. It wouldn't be too hard to cut some from thin plastic but a purpose made solution with suckers or suchlike to attach them to windows would be good.

2005 Defender 110 Td5 XS CSW Alveston Red

We drove to Belarus in the summer with a very fully loaded 110 and I just cut some mdf to slot behind the rear seats to blank out the glass, but more to prevent stuff breaking the glass and falling out on to the autobahn than to prevent prying eyes. Easy to slot in and remove. Rear windows are a bit more awkward but a piece of mdf across the car would serve a similar purpose. Total cost £0 as I had the wood in the shed. If it was me personally doing it Id do like on our boat.
As said cut some ply to shape covered in carpet and hold in with 2 toggles on the trim. That way you can take them out and put them under the rear mat when not in use.

I like the thin ply idea and could spray/paint the reverse (window) side black to look 'tinted' from outside. Silvered material (like motorhome blinds) draws attention to the fact that there might be something in there!

Have you thought of anything like this from B&Q the perforations are tiny it would also give the illuison that they were security grills.

My 110 has pre-proper-utility blanked off windows- but I am guessing you are wanting a quickly interchangable option. Im planning on dropping a set of 88in van sides in instead.........
