Got round to replacing the locking button set-up on my front passenger door after my boys have managed to destroy the original due to their hamfistedness. I know understand how they come apart now

^^^^ Me too, I'd be furious. Any damage even paint would be treated as criminal damage by me as it wouldn't be. Accidental.

Last week, we were driving in the Aussie bush on a deserted road, & a car coming towards me, probably the only other car on the road all day!!..... threw up a stone that put a lovely decent sized "star" on the windscreen, pretty much in my line of vision.
Anyway, got home, sussed out all the different repairers, & a couple of days later a guy from Novus Windscreens came out, & repaired it. Amazing what these guys can do,...you can hardly see the repair. Pickles. |

Steve, you did not buy this beauty here, did you? If you did, please share the secret where to find one with me please. Would be a dream come thru Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

After a busy couple of weeks I finally got around to wiping away some of the oily finger-marks and gave the old beastie a wash & polish.

Finally sorted out my indicator problem blowing fuses.
I had changed the headlight bulb (obviously removing the indicator to remove the cover (a stupid thing if you ask me). When I had replaced the indicator socket, it had pushed in one of the two electrical contacts in the socket, making a short. It doesn't blow fuses any more indicating right! Now I can go back to my old route to work where I could go left AND right --------------------------------------------- Past LR's Series 2a, Range Rover Vogue, Disco 3, Disco 2, Disco 1 Defender 110 Puma http://www.flickr.com/photos/bambi851/ |
