Hi
I have no personal experience of this mod but I have rebuilt lots of R380 boxes. It makes sense about increasing the size of the bearing but IMHO you are talking about a lot of miles before the standard bearings give up. If you are keeping your LR a long time and arent bothered about the extra cost then go for it. If your vehicle is standard power output I would leave it and spend the money on something cool like cocaine and prostitutes,....only joking, I meant something shiny for your LR. 2003 Td5 90 2013 sport hse 2012 700 raptor quad 2012 siromer 4x4 tractor |

I'm getting a fair bit more noise in fifth than I used to, I guess that means I'll need to bite the bullet soon & go for a recon box too! Mark S

@NickH - The car does have a mild stage 1 remap but I think for the extra I think it might be worth doing.
@I.AM_a driver = I was getting like a rough bearing noise in fifth and the noise increased under load and then finally went with a clang. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

It's more like a louder whine in 5th at the moment, which I'll be keeping a close ear on in the coming weeks. Mark S
