Have you check that the non return value is working correctly? Mine didn't allow more than a dribble through. Fixed by drilling it out so no longer a value

I haven't checked it but I will now is it behind the dash or in the engine bay?

Passenger side - engine bay near the bulkhead.
It looks like it's just joining the two pipes together. |

not the valve on mine. I've been reading round the net and a few mentions of disco 2 headlight washer pumps have come up but no confirmation they work so I've ordered one to give it a go.

I'm sure there was a thread on here a while ago about this and I'm pretty sure that the rear washer pump is more powerful than the the front one (they have different part numbers). 2005 Td5 90 XS

I did a search on here but didn't find that one. I tryed swapping them over today and it didn't make much difference aswell as getting rid of the nrv which did nothing so I'm going to try a headlight washer pump when it arrives.

When it arrives, you'll find that the D2 headlamp washer pump uses a larger sealed connector than the Defender's windscreen washer pump.
If the D2 pump physically fits your washer bottle, I can help with the connector required for the D2 pump, or a short adaptor harness from the Defender's harness to the D2 pump. . Paul. 1989 Arles Blue 2.5TD 110 Hardtop 1999 Epsom Green Discovery II 4.0 V8i 'XS' |

The D2's headlamp washer pump connector is the same as used on each half of the D2's heated windscreen -
Click image to enlarge The connector to mate with the Defender's washer pump connector, is this - Click image to enlarge If the D2 pump fits the Defender's washer bottle, and delivers the volume/pressure you want - then, the only issue that I can see is that the Defender's wiring isn't heavy enough to supply the D2 pump. On the Puma, the front washer pump wiring is in 0.5mm˛ cable. On the D2, the headlamp washer pump is wired in 1.5mm˛ cable, and fused at 20A. The proper way to wire it would be to have the Defender wiring switch a relay powered from its own 20A fuse, which switches the D2 pump on heavy gauge wiring. .
