My cousin who owns a groundcare and maintenance business returned from his fortnights holiday last year to find the backs had been cut out of his 3 containers and all his machinery and tools had been stolen. He had an alarm within the yard and stout shrouded locks on the doors but didn't account for the fact the back of the containers were exposed to the waste ground behind the compound. 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon

Hi All,
My ideas are evolving, I think what I'll do is build it in stages - frame up with 2x4 / 4x4 then use whatever I can for the roof and walls, probably steel profile or the roofing (I've already re-roofed my concrete workshop with this and it was very easy to work with) and whatever I can find for the walls - saw a guy on George Clarke's Amazing Spaces C4 who built a garden room from pallets! just have to get the framing spacing right though. I'm still thinking 20ft container for storage and dry workshop, perhaps alongside the self built vehicle cover - I take the point about container security but it's got to be more secure than anything I could build Chris 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black. |

Don't forget a BIG tv, and a decent sound system to while away the hours tinkering!
