Totally recommend the reading of the @Zagato post as suggested by @ericvv - and Zag is, apparently, another excellent option for such treatment who, so I understand, may be branching out because of it...
As far as ACF50 goes - I can only say it is truly awesome stuff and does exactly what it says on the tin, and then some... I have used it on totally exposed parts, like my recently cleaned up and nekkid tow ball & hitch and there is not a single sign of any corrosion apparent some good few weeks and three or four washes and downpours later... ^^^For the benefit of newcomers I'll chip in here and say my usual bit about the definitive corrosion thread was the sum of what at the time seemed like a billion and one question and answer session that took place here so in fact is the sum knowledge of the membership who responded at the time rather than one individual Steve.

There are ways and means of drying the internal portions of a Defender chassis which after all is so full of pre existing holes as to make the job an easy DIY for anyone with a little bit of thought and application. Bear in mind some of the products boast of water dispersing properties anyway!
The biggest concern is keeping road salt or other pollutants that can cause accelerated corrosion away from areas which will be difficult or impossible to get rid of it later on. Steve.
