! As for a V8 well that would be pretty thirsty for the performance, would prefer a chevy LS1 or 3 if I had the money to go that route! Am I right in thinking a 200tdi, possibly with a 300 turbo, as well as a bigger intercooler, pump + wastegate tweaks and possibly methanol injection might be faster than the 2.5NA? Would be interested to know if anyone's done a similar swap.

I don't know about everything else you have mentioned there but with just tweaking the injection pump on a def 200tdi will give you the feeling you have twice the power of a 2.5na, mine just pulls and pulls with a little black smoke and would probably pull more if i was to tweak the pump more but i am very pleased with the performance as it is now

Wishful thinking I know, on another note does anyone know if water/methanol injection has been done on a 2.5na, or would it be a world first to give it a go? |

Bear in mind those engines have been around since Noah was a lad so there is little if anything that has not been tried. I seem to recall reading in one of the rags about injection many years ago but wouldn't know just when or where now. Steve.
