We sell the Safari Equip rock and tree sliders and have them fitted to both our vehicles. http://www.safari-equip.co.uk/shop/index.p...image/193/ The 110 ones saved ours from serious damage within a few weeks of fitting as it slid sideways on black ice into a concrete bollard - the concrete bollard lost
They are galvanised as well as powder coated. If you are interested in some I could get you a price and what might be even more interesting is we are sailing to Belgium on Thursday and will be there for a couple of days and could probably deliver them or meet up with you. Regards Barbara |

Will do but I am not going to Ireland next week
Perhaps I ought to develop a 'We can export tree sliders anywhere in the World' campaign to get Bren to take me on more holidays Barbara |

As Barbara said the Rock and Tree sliders we provide are hot dipped galvanised prior to being powder coated. When they are used for the purpose they were designed for yes you may damage the powder coating but they will not rust. I have managed to damage one but that was the least of my worries as there were more errr serious damage done to things like the chassis and front axle.
Not all the other R + T sliders in the market place are galvanised prior to powder coating. Powder coating on top of galv has a slight 'orange peel' effect. Price for 110 or 90 galvanised and powder coated finish is £240 including VAT but excluding carriage. If anyone wants a carriage quote please send us country and post code. Brendan |

Got safari equip (from Brendan and Barbara) on my 110, also had a set on my 90, both pairs were great and an easy fit. I would not fit ones that are not galvanised before the plastic coating as they soon get used or stone chipped then the water just travels under the plastic coat ruining them.

Glad I found this post as after some tree sliders to replace the rock sliders currently fitted. Just wondered how strong the ones for £135 are?

That's ok then. I've no photos, so can I assume my insurance won't go up then?
I don't think so |
