I had the dealer check it before I left for my holiday in July and was told the car was fine.
Still, no matter how often I clean up the oil underneath, it keeps coming back. Do they all do that? As far as I can remember I never had this problem with any of the BMW's I had in the past but you never know. Maybe I'm just getting a bit paranoia after the many visits to the dealership... Thanks, in that case I'll have the dealer have a look into it.

It shouldn't leak. I assume as it is a 2.2 it is still under warranty so take it to the dealer.
I had similar leak (though not a bad as that) fixed under warranty. It took them a couple of attempts - first they fitted a new slave cylinder and clutch. The second time involved changing Rear Crank Oil Seal, Gaskets for Upper and lower sump and Front timing casing. |

i've just got mine (MY13 2.2) back from the dealer after warranty work to correct a leak that looks very similar to yours. It turned out to the crankshaft seal. It wasnt the actual seal but the mounting plate for the seal. This has two spots of sealant placed were it sits against the ladder frame. Only one sealant spot was present Good old Ford! I agree let the dealer have a look asap. It will be interesting if yours turns out to be the same.
