Safe. I also use 2-stroke oil in my Audi A3 Tdi with great result - idles more smoothly, less clatter, and gearchanges are also smoother (DSG gearbox). On my D2 Td5 auto, the gearchanges were also smoother with 2-stroke. Basically when running with 50ppm (or lower) diesel, the lack of sulphur means there is also a lack of lubrication. The 2-stroke simply adds a bit of lubrication in there. Every 5000km or so I add a bottle of Wynns diesel cleaner to both the Puma and the Audi. This cleans out the fuel tanks and removes any bacterial contamination, and also cleans your fuel pumps, injectors, etc. There is also talk somewhere on this forum that the EGR should be cleaned out every so often. I plan to ask the stealer to do this at every service, or else I will ask my indie workshop to do it with every oil change at 10Kkm |

Interesting thank for the info. I have been ruinning mine on millers which I suppose does the same thing. The only thing is with millers is when I run the vehicle with the performance download in I get problem with it cutting out. I don't know why it does this but as soon as I drop the standard tune back in it runs fine. Anyway millers have just changed their (they say) formular so I am giving this a go. Quite tempeted to try the 2stk idea to see what the results are. Thanks

What is 'millers'? Also, adding 2-stroke does not improve performance. It's more of a preventative measure to prolong your engine's life. This is especially important in South Africa (and rest of Africa) where our diesel is sub-standard  |

Isn't there some sort of controversy around PTFE as an additive for engine lubricants? I definitely know nothing on the topic,but I've seen some various and different opinions... |

After reading Naks post a couple of months ago regarding 2 stoke oil, I have been using QUICKSILVER Premium Plus 2-Cycle TC-W3 Outboard Oil. The guys at the boat shop looked funny at me when I purchased it, but I think the Puma runs smoother when using it. Might also just be my imagination. But using it makes sense, extra lubrication, and burns clean and leave no residue.

Heinrich, since then I have switched to using Sasol's 2-stroke. It comes in 200ml bottle and is the perfect size for the 90's 56L ratio-wise, and it's only R12.95  |

I managed to drive 820 km with a full tank on holiday, driving to Iceland in june, with my 2009 110 SW, now at 89000 km.
It's not the first time. It happens every time I drive motorways for a long time at a regular speed between 90 and 100 km/h. The enginesoftware is remapped: 156 BHP and 450 NM makes a huge difference. Could this be the reason why my 110 drives more economically then most other 110's? |

Who did your tune......I reckon I'm 10% up at least since my tune and now saving for the next stage... also 450Nm  |

beginning of Sep a few on here did a 2.7k mile trip to Corsica.
