So what is amazing me at the moment is not just the impressive mpg (just under 300 miles at the half way mark) but the mpg considering my 'enthusiastic' driving style
I wonder if my polished exhaust has a lot to do with it (in my early motoring years people used to talk about polished heads and such like) ? Click image to enlarge |

another caterham /\ best half tank to date Click image to enlarge but only going to achieve 530 ish miles in total but I'd say this is amazing compared to what I hear from most and considering how my driving style has changed since upping the power 500+ miles to a tank without trying.....and the pipe is still shiny. Morning Wayne.....I am indeed!
The only thing we have in common or captivates my interest on this thread is the fact I too have a shiny pipe! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

sorry Mal I know you're gonna hate me resurrecting this thread
only I thought it was worthy of an update - got back tonight with a reasonable 499.7 miles on the odometer (and no orange warning light yet either) since the last fill up - but don't forget I'm now running a stage 2 / 450 Nm recalibration. so hence I thought it worthy of mention - granted either not been hoofing it all the time but I've not been light on the throttle ALL of the time either. 150 miles of local knocking about, then about 200 miles to Bristol return, then about 150 miles return to Sheffield. so based on above I reckon 540 miles on a standard tank with 450 Nm meters aint at all bad....not only am I frugal with the derv but also with numbers (540 and 450 ) |

Damn only got 530miles. And disappointingly 72.5ltrs to fill up. So 33mog. Not bad considering the pesky traffic round birmingham centre

Wow 500miles on afull tank - I wish
Over the last 9,000 miles I have been recording my fuel consumption - working it properly mileage covered/gallons used my average is only 23.5mpg BAS city tune ordered, be interesting to see what changes this makes |

Iktank don't forget the 110 has a larger tank.
Not sure why but it would seem the 2.2 is less economical from what I've seen on here. As you say it'll be interesting to see what your remap does. When I had the stage from from another tuner I'm confident there was a 10% improvement in economy which I suspect was in part down to the egr shut off. |
