Managed to get hold of an UltraGuage and would really like to have it fitted within the gauge pod in the 'spare' window at bottom centre, at some point...
In the meantime, used the supplied sticky member to mount it in front of that same window... Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

Just got back in mine from picking up a cannondale lefty bike, been after one for a while and found one locally. Fancied a bit of a change this winter though so went for it. Only just went in the 90 after figuring out how the wheel comes off in the dark
Along with a bargain complete Maxxtraxx folding bike rack off ebay which I got for the £20 start price so well chuffed with that Defender puma dormobile camper |

Gave L2B a miss and fitted rear mud shields and quick release mud flaps to my 130.

Was going to venture out to Brighton by by the time my various tasks had been completed and checking the roads I would have got there in time for everyone packing up and going home.
Maybe next year However, It did give me the chance to give the chassis a good spray over with some ACF50 and wipe over to catch any drips (most of it went in my hair), Sort out my rear shock absorbers which had developed an irritating squeak. Also took the rear seats out and took up some wear in the mountings in the time honoured land rover way......Adding a washer. Worked a treat the no longer rattle and creak so that's one less noise to contend with plus they are now much more secure. Also worryingly found the plate which the seat slams down onto (a yale style lock ) 3 of the 4 rivets holding it were rotten out and it was loose, so out came the drill, drilled them out and removed. Gave it a quick spruce up with some rust buster and some fresh black paint then riveted back into place. Does make me laugh my "County Top Spec" seating was still only from a Series 2A 109. Ahhh land Rover, What went wrong, why did you have to start changing things? |

Went to the Newbury sale in the 90 yesterday. Bought some repair sections for the front door frames, a workshop manual and a few tools. A good day out!

I took the bulkhead vent flap off to replace the seal as I had been getting wind noise at motorway speeds. It was also very badly warped...I have no idea how that could have happened, so I gave it a good twist to straighten it, replaced the seal and put it back on. As I was bending it a few spot welds popped but other than that, all is good.
One of those Land Rover mysteries I guess. I have a roll cage so I could understand it if I had trodden on the flap whilst climbing on the cage to get to the roof rack, but the flap had been bent upwards, and it can't bend upwards because the cage cross bar won't let it. I guess it could have been closed down onto something, but I cannot imagine that could ever have happened...I am the only one who opens them! 2002 110 td5 |

Your answer is there, if the seal bends or sags down and you try and pull the flap shut it will bend it.
Nope, I use mine regularly! |

Me too. Click image to enlarge I agree, it's pretty impressive for the money. Very robust, well finished and the light output is really good. I fitted mine a couple of weeks ago but only just got around to wiring it up as I was struggling to find a vendor for the OEM dash foglamp switch that didn't need me to sell a kidney for the privilege. I didn't use any of the suppled harness chosing instead to make my own. I used the OEM dash swich and a fused relay mounted in the passengers seat box next the the dealer-fitted relay for my SVX spot lamps. I'd been trying to decide what to do for a while as originally, I was going to buy and fit the OEM accessory type Wipac fog lights, but I'm so glad I didn't and went for this instead. Mounted under the bumper, the light output is a nice bright white and in exactly the right place. I was a bit apprehensive about the look initially, but I like it now. So glad I went for this and not the yellowy Wipac candles. Thanks again Russyboxx. |
