Indeed that is the correct way to wire up as I described. The wiring diagram shows the flasher relay as being a normal coil/armature and contacts like a normal SPST relay; this is misleading as this is not all that it contains.
Is it not the RDX relay that is has an adjustable set point for the triggering of the trailer warning light? If so this could be adjusted to account for the buzzer current draw. For reference the rs components buzzer: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/buzzers/0245332/ has a current draw of 30mA at 12V (400Ohm resistance). Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

Thanks guys for all the info, to be fair I think it all seems a bit complicated for my reduced auto electric skills, I will either keep my eye on the warning light or get a man in who knows what he is doing.
Trouble is the indicator cancelling has a mind of its own, sometimes it cancels, sometimes it does not. So I at times I unaware that the an indicator side is flashing as I drive down the road after turning, I have replaced the indicator switch with genuine parts about a year ago because of the same problem, thats two units in three years. Maybe its time to replace again. |

rally steve - That current draw would be acceptable because it's so low.

Unless it was just mine, didn't the really old Landies have them? My B reg Ninety used to make a hell of a buzz when indicating. 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top
