Well if Caterham's not telling porkies he's knocked this thread right out of the ballpark and you're all shy of approximately 50% of your achieved figures to where you need to be to make a song and a dance about it.

I'll tell you what I wana know Shocked
If the 5 cylinder with 5 gears Gota range of around 400
Then why should the 2.2 4 cylinder with 6 gears get the same or LESS ?
( more economical ) it ain't Question

I wouldn't have thought it's anything to do with it being a smaller unit trying had to achieve the same as the 2.4 as I'd have thought that would be marginal....i guess it's down to the dpf strangling the engine ?

I normally get somewhere between 470 and 530 miles from a full tank (last fill was 66.83l) Variation usually comes from how I've been driving.

Probably ok - I think (and I’ll be corrected if I’m wrong!) that the 1.2 gearing makes high speed more efficient but you might have to use more grunt in the low gears. If you’re chipped, and so squeezing more horses out of each sip of fuel, you might find that around town you’re developing too much power and not enough torque for the sub-40mph speeds?
