Intetested. I want to do similar. Exmoor high backs but fitted to the 60/40 seat bases. Should be able to do that with some fabbing and welding.
Could always strip the 60 seat off the frame and pick up another 40 seat, then fit in place. Could work. |

I have the Exmoor Trim Premium High Backs in mine.
I wouldn't buy them again nor recommend.  |

They aren't compatible with child seats (Exmoor Trim no longer advertise them as such and did offer a full refund when this issue first arose, so full credit to them).
The side wings (for want of a better description!) on the bases are too firm, high and wide to allow adults to sit in them. I will stress that Exmoor Trim as a company where superb to deal with and I love their front seats. I just wouldn't recommend these ones |

Thats a shame! They are what I wanted, ill have to have a look in person and have a seat.
How not compatible with child seats? Thats one thing I will need eventually. Not sure what other options there are now lol |

If you're ever in the area you're welcome to have a look/ sit in!
They look great and the back rest is adjustable which is nice. Child seats wont fit on the base due to the raised "wings". I will probably have a trim specialist rebuild the bases to be flat, but if I did it again I would fit Puma seats in the middle. |

Thanks! I have read about the Puma seats but read much the fit isnt great as they are rather large

The seat backs do fold down just like any regular front seat, however you have to pull the head rests off then it can flip up to give more space. I did it once. Very fiddley and bit of a PITA
As for using the seat frame that is what I did. I had a 60/40 slipt rear seat and bolted them together when I attached the front seats onto it. Using the front seats is very useful for under seat storage access, just pull up the seat base and there is your stuff. I do currently have the 30/30/30 rear seats, (the original rubbish square ones) but they're tired and desparately need replacing. I am now thinking that a pair of tired TD5 front seats would be both cheaper and better than a pair of exmoor high backs! And then I could put a cubby/sub enclosure in the middle....
First off I need to replace the middle row floor upstand, as it's all gone crumbly.... |

I guess as long as you can get the spacing correct, there's no reason you couldn't fit a front row middle seat in there? |
