What happens when a TT comes flying past you on a flat straight road.YOU GET REVENGE!!
Last week I had a good friend from Paddock motors and her husband over when they were on holiday. We were on our way home when this black TT come past at mach speed. Not long after we past him as he had pulled over to the side of the road, and has us joking that he blew his engine. A while later he was back and stuck behind me.Our roads are not for overtacking. We were coming up to a long uphill that has two lanes and guessed he would come past. For some other reason,my puma loves hills and pulls like a boeing.I dropped into 5 gear, and commented to my co-pilot that the sports mobile was back, and there he pulled into the next lane to come past. WELL HE TRIED.......... I did what I had to do and all he saw was my rear.We all had a good laugh. Not bad for a 2 ton brick. Puma 110 SW 90 V8 SOFT TOP |

All to do with confidence and using torque where appropriate. If the TT driver was a straight-line merchant who doesn't know where the power is, perfectly possible.

I have to disagree there Red Dot. Last night I was returning home and a TT come blasting past me on a dual carriage way at Droitwich. We both turned off the dual carriage way on the same junction. We then proceeded West towards Ombersley on the A4133 this is a hilly twisty road, the TT was going for it big time, however I stuck to his tail easily in the 130. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that the TT could not get away from me. A little later I caught a little Mazda sports car and had to back off whilst ascending the hill at Leysters as the Mazda was clearly struggling to climb the hill.
No I'm not re-mapped. 130's have feeling's as well you know |

New or old TT?
Im think ing it could have been the old 1.8 20vt 180bhp as these are a little sluggish and really have to be raged to get the power out of the lump. The new 2.0 TFSI lumps would destroy the the Defender, hell of a lot of usable torque low down in the revs with 230bhp. |

Only if the driver knows how to drive. I have had people in mitsubusi evo's and scooby's unable to keep up with 4 tonne of yellow bus, because they can't drive! Sorry should have said hello first, I will be spending a bit more time on here just as soon as I can get shot of my cash guzzling D3 and get back to the real world of 4x4's |
