Why should we even be talking about adjusting our constitution of the whole UK (population 65 million) in any way with so called reforms when only 1.5 million people voted yes?? Several hundred thousand of them were school kids and the rest a load of mis guided folk taking patrotic beliefs a bit too far?

Devolution (of varying degrees) to three out of the four parts of the UK is a fact that will not be undone or go away. As a result England is the anomaly. A Scottish voter for example has three levels of voting (ignoring County/Borough/Parish Council elections). He/she can vote for an MEP (Europe), an MP (UK), and an MSP (Scotland). An English voter can only vote for an MEP and an MP and so can argue that an one level he/she is disenfranchised.
The West Lothian question cannot be solved by Cameron's cynical political move of stopping Scottish MP's voting on purely English matters, e.g. Health. But, of course, to add insult to injury, English MP's are unable to vote on matters relating to Health in Scotland. The voting anomalies inherent in Westminster are not going to be solved by existing English MP's spending two days a week on English matters. Westminster's role should be as the body that is responsible for UK-wide policies, e.g. foreign policy and defence. The only answer is to provide the English with an English parliament/assembly with the same power, privileges and responsibilities as enjoyed by the various devolved institutions of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It should not be sited in Westminster but further into the heart of England - I favour Coventry which is geographically almost bang in the centre of England and therefore has some symbolic value as well as being far enough away from London and the South East. However, further north might also make some sense and help soothe the feelings of alienation that seem increase as the distance from London increases as well as providing employment opportunities. And before the cries of another layer of expensive bureaucracy emerge I would just point out that democracy necessarily comes with a price tag. I prefer this to devolving power to the cities who will merely compete with each other rather than to the benefit of the whole country (see Glasgow/Edinburgh, Liverpool/Manchester etc).. Having said that, London does present a problem ... but that's another story. Incidentally, I am half Welsh and half Scots and have lived and worked in London for most, but not all, of my life.
