Firstly, I have always believed in the idiom ‘United we stand, divided we fall’
Secondly, I have a distrust of all politicians, however Alex Salmond I trust less than most other politicians, it is also worrying that as a voted representative of the Scottish people he is it seems ignoring the wishes of half his country. Thirdly, and perhaps most importantly the debate on 'Yes' and 'No' has been based on the speculation of ‘what if’ and that in any discussion sets a flawed model. It is of course down to the Scottish people how they vote, together with a small section of English, Welsh and Irish people who because they reside in Scotland are eligible to vote. I hope that on Friday morning we wake to a United Kingdom that is still whole and not one because of the silly notion of ‘Freedom’ that some Scottish people have seized upon, divided, because if a yes vote prevails that freedom will be very short lived as the Scottish people will realise when the true ramifications of independence starts to hit home. |

Still early morning, but from what I can see it looks like the Nay sayers are going to come out tops, at least early incomplete results show comfortable margin with something like 54% result up to now. Happy to see that common sense seems to prevail in your country.
Probably no need to print too many of these below anymore now to go buy a pound of salmond in the coming years. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

I too have worked up there for several years..... Thought of the day....... If the English had also been given a vote I think today Scotland would have had their independance whether they wanted it or not! Resentment flows both ways.... If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Perhaps, after hundreds of years of whingeing, they'll accept they got a good deal in the first place and shut up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
