You can fit a separate, adjustable relay just for the trailer. Combined with an adjustable LED flasher relay, this will allow any combination of LEDs /Bulbs, and allow the correct dash indication

How have other people found the flash rate with this relay? I started off with the mobile centre one but it flashed far to fast. Bolt on bits one arrived today, installed and set up as per instructions, but the indicators do seem to flash rather fast. I'm getting approx. 100 flashes per minute. Whilst this is within the range come MOT time, it does seem a lot faster than most other vehicles. Any ideas welcomed!

Wonder if it's slightly variable dependant on vehicle?

It's possibly related to component tolerances inside the relay. It would be interesting if 2 different owners could swap relays to test.
I plan to purchase one of these in the next few months (along with LED indicators), so I'll see if it's possible to make a modification to the circuit components to change the flash rate. I've know idea what the circuit looks like at the moment, but will investigate once I have one in my hands. http://defender90xs.blogspot.co.uk/ |

I have a wipac one. On its own the flash rate is the same as standard, with a trailer attached it speeds up. I assume this is the prevent the electronics in the relay getting too hot? 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I tried a Mobilecentre one in my previous Puma which had a set of RDX LED's but the flash rate was only just within the 60 FPM rate plus the trailer tell tale was on all the time so I went back to the RDX with its slightly quicker flash and adjustable tell tale. All now transferred to the new motor. Steve.
