Gear Stick Wobble There are a few posts that mention things about gear stick rattles but the problem I have is with the gear stick wobbling/vibrating quite severely when in 6th over 60mph. No other symptoms whatsoever! I thought at first this was the road surface as things move around depending on the surface, the gear stick wobble is still happening though on a perfectly smooth road. Another possible cause is whether there is a wheel out of balance but I dont think it's that. Has anyone else seen this issue and know what the resolution was? All you need to do is change the selector guide - not the whole unit - its probably something silly like a build flaw that wears the original, which means the new part correctly fitted cures it...like i said in previous posts - it did for me UNTIL the idiots broke the selector and i was back to square 1. If they did what i advised (change the guide) then that would explain what it seems like its fixed. Mike

"Morrisons" were in possesion af a bulletin to renew if customer complained and the ball end of the stick was badly machined. It drove me crazy on a 400 mile trip and i believe the selectors are not an issue. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Well chaps and for future reference when your knob starts to rattle , LR have admitted there is a problem and ordered a new selector guide.
