Live issues on M6 now home
Drove from home to Aberdeen yesterday, on our way back now belting down the M6..... well trying too. every now and then the 110 looses power the speed drops to about 50mph then gradually the power comes back and hey presto flat out again. Until a few more miles and the same thing happens. Its like running out of fuel.

No warning lights
No fault codes
Removed filler cap. No difference
Air filter is new and so is fuel filter.

I think its a fuel starvation issue.

Any ideas Question 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

Home now Thumbs Up Will be heading into the dealers asap.

Found a bit more out, it only happens on full throttle when you back off a bit, for instance when a slower vehicle enters the fast lane and one shuts off, the engine dies, speed rapidly reduces (not nice as you can imagine) then when the vehicle slows between 45mph and 60mph all of a sudden the power is back.

I'm thinking lack of fuel fuel pump cant cope with maximum demand type thing.

I will check out MK's comments Thumbs Up

BigRuss Thumbs Up will do next time Thumbs Up

landy andy Thumbs Up That issue is an air flow meter fault. Experienced it loads of times on the TD5, simple cheap fix. The air flow meter is located in the filter box un clip it unscrew it and replace, they are only a few quid to boot Thumbs Up 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

I forgot to mention that the speedometer also went crazy (up and down) when I had the problem. Puma 110" SW

Hi Andrew, my 110 did the same thing once. The dealer blamed the EGR and replaced it, never had the problem since.

Cheers,

Tim

i had very similare, got a call from the dealer to say they had spent 10 hours on it and found out the course (it had been in before but they could not figger it out) the reason was overheating due to mud in the radiator and before they "fix'd" it they wanted £890.00 Shocked for the 10 hours it touch them to find it, well no money paid and i used my own garden hose, the only sign you may see is the temp guage going just past half way.
