United Kingdom 1995 Defender 110 300 Tdi CSW Aintree Green
removed and greased rear door hinges to get rid of annoying squeek as it opens. Flat head in the top and 11mm spanner on the bottom, removed nute, spring and bolt, scrub clean grease out and re fit.

Only did them 1/4 way tight so i could lift the door by 5 - 8mm and get some grease between the hinges.

One at a time, took about 45 mins and now, quiet door!

And ordered MUD dash / carlings etc so now looking to extend wiring for hazards etc from by right knee to mid-dash.

Adjusted my JW Speakers height today. Did it the simple way, park the truck on a level road, walk at least 40m away, and lower my head to see when each of the low beam lamps start to blind me. Then with a screwdriver adjust each of them up or down as required and make sure that both are identical height. Also checked the front fogs to make sure oncoming traffic will have no problems at all from my front lights. Driving tonight confirms beam is high enough, and same time none of the oncoming traffic has signalled me. Thumbs Up

Collected 36 x 6' x 1' concrete fence panels that i won on ebay and after that we went and bought 4 x 6' x 3' wooden fence panels to complete one of our fences.

concrete panels

6 x panels in the trailer and 4 x panels in the 90

wooden panels

all 4 of them stapped to the roof of the 90 Very Happy

Turned out one side of one of the trailing arm brackets on the rear axle has rotted right through with the other side not far away. Axle out and with my favourite welder awaiting brackets from YRM 2015 RRS Autobiography SDV6

Went off to abersoch, North Wales for the bank holiday.

On the way saw this. Seems to be a private vehicle rather than an advertising thing, but maybe both? Says Conwy LR on the plates.

Interesting that it's not necessarily badged up with land rover or Conwy Land Rover... Cheers, David

I like it too. It made goodle #hibernot, an online hub all about being outdoors in the winter and LR seem to have embraced it.

I went to Abersoch on Thursday and almost got repetitive strain injury from all the "waves". Bank holidays seem to attract defender owners like paper clips to a magnet..

There were 8 of us parked all within 100 metres in the town centre, came back after a meal to find another had cuddled up to next mine. It might be explained by the way it rained so hard there was a flooded stretch of road on the way back through Llanbedrog, the road outside the londis was under by about ~30cm - This got the sand off her Twisted Evil

Also went to north wales beddgelert, where the camp site we booked didn't understand the concept of a roof tent as although we explained both over the phone and on arrival it was attached to the vehicle they wanted us to park away from the pitch?

Moved to a different site which I think ended up better anyway.

Not got my 90 at the moment so rather bored. Laughing
Anyway, flicking through the Donkey Sanctuary gift catalog earlier I spotted this:

Just thought I'd share, all goes to a good cause.
Thumbs Up
