cooler side ( the bigger openning ) with two 10mm headed bolts , if you get the blank with the slotted holes you just loosen the bolts and slide it in

so people, you mean that whatever method we apply(deactivation, unplugging etc),there is a chance the valve will open from exaust gas pressure? How come it stays closed when needed in stock-unmodified form,i don't understand..

Now I have seen the configuration of the holes in the tube TBH I don't think there will be much difference between drilling a 5mm Ø hole or a 10mm Ø hole. I have drilled my blanking plate out to 19mm Ø

EGR Blanking
I removed my EGR valve, open it up on top, removed the two drive gears, close up and install back. so the drive motor still get power but no gears to open up valve. The valve open up on a spring, so when power is cut the valve close. I also cut the small pipe to intake and weld both ends. I done now 4000km without any warning lights, this is now 4 weeks on running without EGR valve.

I just reload the standard map every few months to let it clean itself for a few days. The EGR has to continue to function anyway or it will fail the TÜV Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...
