Hi Rick,
Once the vehicle is physically being built we normally say around 3 weeks (on the safe side), however realistically it is normally a lot quicker. Many Thanks Mike |

Hello,
Our Solihull factory has a summer shut down between the 28th of July and 8th of August so I do not know if your order will be affected or not by this. If you PM me your order number I will find out what the current ETA is. Many Thanks Mike |

Well, I ordered mine 17th April and was told "end of June/beginning of July". Eventually that changed to in-build 23rd of this month, now it appears they are shutting the factory on Friday for a fortnight.......

even living in Aus they still allow 3 weeks for it to be built, just takes a while to get to you! Cheers

Well, total bloody shambles as usual - dealer, when taking my money, stated delivery "end of June, beginning of July".... Now end of July = no 110. Had to chase constantly for a build date - eventually given into build as Wednesday last..... Told then it would be three weeks later, find out from Mike that land rover shut the factory Friday last for a fortnight..... No contact out of curtesy from the dealer, left to Mike to keep me informed.
Existing 110 approaching 12k, part of the affordability factor of signing up for the new one was not having to service the thing (land rover owe me a free service already from a previous sod-up......) so now cannot use it (been that way for the last month). Spend the thick part of 30k and get treated like a mushroom at best..... Wanted to replace the wife's Subaru forester with a new freelander (god knows why) - wife says "land rover treat you like s**t, why buy another?" - can't really argue so wander into the Subaru garage to write the cheque, get treated rather better than by the local Land Rover dealer, and spending less..... Sign the paperwork and get a delivery date instantly - and it's got to come all the way from bloody japan!!! Still no word from the dealer - out of curtesy, given they have had my money for 3 1/2 months now, still left to me to chase information.... Absolute total disgrace. |

The worst bit is the total don't-give-a-s**t attitude (not by Mike I hasten to add) from land rover and the dealers - we're you kept informed about your date moving or did you have to chase? Presumably they have had your money since May? How do they have any customers left? Oh yes, because we are silly enough to buy them despite being treated poorly and we excuse all the little (and not so little) sod-up's because "it's part of the experience".
I passed my test in a 90 and I have had 11 defenders, 3 discoveries and 4 range rovers since. I have never been without a LR product, we have a 1960 series 2 that my wife and I used as our wedding car and a 1955 series 1 (that I am now using as daily transport) I never thought I would say this but I suspect that this will be the last. |
