Try restart it several times and see it it goes off.
I had a similar incident and it turns out to be a issue with the EGR valve (rac computer read the fault codes). It goes off after a coulpe of restarts and the garage can't find anything wrong with it Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |

The car is sat on my drive and I don't plan to use it again until Monday. LRA offered an AA man this afternoon or an LR technician tomorrow so I took that option. All in all I'm OK with their response given my circumstances.

As RD said, turbo hose issue. Doubt it has worn through yet more likely fallen off. Exactly the same thing happened on my DC but I only manged to get 10 miles from the dealership after picking it up before it packed up.

Happened to me as well after about 1500 miles :
http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic21673.html Its a built in feature. Just be careful when they fit the 'upgraded' bracket. |

Both of my tdci defenders have had failed turbo hoses. One went in this week for a service, hose was replaced as part of upgrade next day we had to call landrover assist as it had fallen off! Clearly there is an issue here, lots reported on the forum of this experience.

LRA man arrived at 9:00am on Sunday as promised. He checked for the hose issue immediately and reported that the "fix" had already been done. Neither his LR nor his AA computer could read the ECU so he was unable to identify the fault. We went on a test drive and the fault had disappeared but the warning light was still on. He said it was perfectly safe to drive so this morning, with the warning light now off, I drove the car to Nurburg and left it with them. They promised to get it sorted between them and Guy Salmon. I will let you know how it goes.
