finally dealt with the undersealing of the 110.
Tried with waxoyl and the genuine sprayer but it was a pile of to be honest. So ran out of stuff without really getting much covered as most fell off or ended up in really thick bits or on my head So as i didn't have time/access to dinitrol i used the hammerite underseal stuff with added waxoyl. came in a 2.5L tin and its sort of half black paint and half waxy, and its 100x better. Used a brush at first and then used my fingers to push it into the trickier places! much better job and looks better than yellow waxy stuff IMO! also completed the last couple of coats on the rear crossmember using hammerite metal paint before the above. Some pics (under car ones didn't come out great as getting dark sorry): Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge then put the tow bar back together and cleaned off some excess and now leave it to dry while i go away on holiday for a week! Click image to enlarge overall pleased with the days work! It was hammerite 'straight on rust' metal paint in smooth black, good stuff but takes a lot of layers. Mine used one 500ml can and I used acid etch primer beneath Cheers, David

Rain rain and more rain so harvest is at stand still. Decided to remove and paint light surrounds and grille to freshen it up.
Took the soft A bar off for a bit to see what I think, not sure I like it really so maybe for sale soon! |

Got my backside into gear and finished welding up my, now rather heavy duty, rock/tree sliders. Waiting for the paint to dry and might get round to getting them onto the motor tomorrow, or Sunday. I'm picking up a air con grill panel tomorrow to further my front 'facelift'.
I am sporting a rather curious sun tan at the moment, sunburn in the crook of my left elbow, sunburn on my chest and stomach except for a stripe from waistband to neck and my left nipple is still white It seems that the UV rays from the mig welder only pass through one layer of cotton shirts, the extra fabric at the buttons and the little pocket on your chest are effective barriers |

Swapped the radius arm bushes today. What a tedious job it is.
I did this to try to cure death wobble. Already rebuilt the swivels and wheel bearings and panhard rod bushes. Now done the radius arm bushes and guess what?........... Death wobble remains It is better but not 100%. Suspension next! 2002 110 td5 |
