Fitted a Mota Lita steering wheel. It's a bit smaller although now I'm not so sure if I should have ordered the smaller version of the two.
Also fitted the mud snow cowl. Not a fan of the looks but at this price it's worth a try to keep the rain out of the heater box.

Btw, very impressed with the fast delivery to Holland from Mud. Thumbs Up

started getting the land rover ready for our drive to france on saturday. prep (wash, polish, hoover) a little behind as the clutch decided to throw it's springs about last friday. was ofcoarse working on the saturday. so my saturday night and sunday was spend replacing the clutch. all seems well now. on the bright side better clutch going last friday rather than this friday.
will be traveling m6/m5 down to swindon and on to portsmouth on sat. so keep your eyes open for a rimini red 110sw heading south. also with the delays just got my passport last thursday. need a holiday Cool 110 xs s/wagon

Replaced the broken lens on one of my Wipac spotlights. After a fair bit of searching around the internet I ordered one from a company called Off Road Rovers. I hadn't used them before but can say I'm delighted with their service, I ordered it on Sunday and it was delivered today (Tuesday) which is excellent considering I'm in the Highlands and there was no extortionate postage costs. All in for a new lens it was less than Ł15 - bargain! 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold)
Looking for another to replace it.

The road less travelled.... is a muddy one!

Looks like now you have started, there's plenty more to go at judging from that photo.

David, did you find the captive nut section I was talking about previously in the kit? Thumbs Up
The caps are good, would look too blingy on the front otherwise.
Looks like you need some rust treatment and Dinitrol on the rest of there fast! Shocked

yeah they are just right i think. didn't need the captive nut bit, had a new one a while ago as lost one when upgrading to DRL bump (doh!)

as for the rest of it, it really isn't as bad as it looks in those pictures (camera seems to pick it out).

waxoyling today though! just been underneath getting soaked with degreaser & pressure washer, its actually looking very good underneath.

will report back when done Cheers, David

cleaned the underside with the intention of waxoyling, but then realised that i wouldn't be able to paint the rear crossmember with it all waxy so did that first.

this is as far as i got before dark:

to be fair it seemed like the powder coating was 'rusting' off but leaving a pretty good bolt underneath. just didn't have time to observe the whole process lol. Cheers, David
