Disco2 transfer box for Defender LT77 gearbox?
The transfer box in my 90 howls & growls now, especially on overrun! Time for a change...

I currently use a Disco 1 transfer box on my LT77 gearbox BUT will a Disco2 transfer box with its quiet gears also fit a Defender LT77 gearbox?

Over to you for your help Bow down

I believe so. There are as far as I know no external or interface differences between the "Q" and non-"Q" versions of the LT230.

Yes it will fit, but need to confirm if the Disco 2 transfer box contains all the difflock goodies that you'll want because not all D2's had a CDL.

That's a good point, I never even thought about the diff lock!

The transfer box in a Tdci has the Q gears but getting one of them for a decent price won't be easy, assuming it'd fit an old LT77!
