Replacement Immobiliser Fob and Key.
I can not speak highly enough of these guys.

Run by someone who obviously cares about what he is doing.

Following on from my immobiliser ( actually starter relay) problem the other day i investigated what if the fob was broken as i only have the one now with the car - two keys but one fob.

I happened across http://www.remotekey.co.uk/cars/land-rover/defender/

I ended up buying a all in one key and fob from them. Cost £89 and will need cutting but the key blade is made from sturdy high quality italian steel as per the original keys. The programming? Well couldn't be easier - you pay refundable £29 for a device you plug into the diagnostic port.

Remove the keys from the ignition and hopefully this will also mean the engine isn't running Wink. Plug the device into the port. The blue light on the device comes on... you wait till the blue light goes out (30 seconds) and that is it job done and the key will now work with the immobiliser.

You send the programming device back in the addressed envelope and you will get your £29 refunded.

The guy ( sorry can't remember his name) was supremely chatty and helpful. Plus the key was sent special delivery before 0900 so got it less than 24 hours after order. The Rules:-
1 Buccaneer comes back alive.
2 Chicks dig scars.
